The life of the lifeless

Sometimes the accidental pictures can surprise you. While testing the distance of my telelens (sigma 55-200mm) I shot this picture of a wooden beam holding up the roof of our house in the village we stay at (P. Osi) during the research. I find that the detail and color contrasts brings to life the very lifelessness of the wood.

Creeping beauty

Nudibranch or Sea slugs often have such beautiful colors. I was so ecstatic to finally find one, I had been trying to spot one for a long time so finding this guy really made my day. I look forward to finding more with different colors and patterns. Taken in Kotania Bay

A group of colorful fish found shelter in a cave like crevasse in the cliff-side. The majority of the fish are Violet Squirrelfish, (Myripristis violacea). Taken near Osi village, Indonesia
